Boredom…

I am totally and completely bored…been bored all day. I guess boredom is a big improvement over the usual bad Sundays that I have. Because I’m bored, this post will have no specific topic, theme or anything. I just feel like rambling…so that’s what I’m gonna do.

I twisted my locks today, something that I haven’t done in months. I do random stuff like that when I’m bored. I didn’t realize that my hair had grown so much. I also didn’t realize how much gray hair I have. Sigh…I hate gray hair. I saw my first strand of gray hair when I was 17, but my grandmother always said that I was born with gray hair. Hmmmm…I never noticed any gray hair in my baby pictures, but I’ll just take her word for it. I still hate it.

I think I’m gonna have to dye my hair again, seems like I just dyed it a month ago! Bigen Oriental Black…here I come! That’s the only thing that will cover the gray, I’ve tried every other hair color out there and nothing works.

I may have to live with getting older, but I do not have to live with gray hair. Maybe I’ll accept it when I’m 60…maybe!

I keep having this weird dream about some sexy man, 5-inch stiletto pumps, and Victoria’s Secret lingerie…gonna keep the rest of the details to myself! ;-) I don’t know what that’s all about, but I bet Freud would have a field day trying to decipher it.

I ran into my cousin, who I haven’t seen in a minute at the store last week (he lives in another state). I’m only mentioning him because I know he’s been reading my blog, but he hasn’t made any comments…hmmm. What’s up cuz? Do I have to post your picture (just found it in my cell) to pull you out of lurk mode man??? You know I’ll do it…

(Haha!! I told you I’d do it…you’d better leave at least one comment I ain’t playin’!) We’re so crazy, we had a mini family reunion in the damn grocery store. When I found out that his wife and kids were outside waiting in the car, we had another family reunion in the parking lot!!

Watched my favorite movie Saturday morning. It’s called Throne of Blood, and it’s Akira Kurasowa’s retelling of Macbeth…with Samurai and what not. I’ve watched that movie so many times that I don’t even read the sub-titles anymore.

I am a Samurai movie geek.

Here’s a clip of Sword of Doom, another good Samurai movie. In this clip the main character Ryunosuke Tsukue, just goes completely insane and kills everybody that crosses his path. Well, he starts out killing shadows that are obviously working his last nerve. I guess he knows how to deal with boredom!

The person that put this clip on Youtube actually titled it, “Samurai Goes Batshit Insane and Destroys The Whole Plot”. I agree with that assessment!

Sword of Doom

Well, I’m still bored…but, I gotta end this post!

Smooches!

  • Danielle: Throne of Blood was indeed the business. I love Kurosawa’s work.

  • Throne of Blood is the business girl. Kurosawa is unmatched when it comes to the epic. Amazing visuals and story telling ability.

  • DJ: LOL!! You are a mess!

Thank you for your comment…(I’ll pay you later) ;-)

  • Okay I had to stop for a minute..had to get that ole debil off my left shoulder before I asked this question. Okay ready? Well here goes…

    Dear Jeannie,

I’d like to preface this with an observation of mine…now to the rest of the kind folks out there in “internet-land” please don’t take this as a generalization as I am assuming we are all grown up enough to realize that is not where this is coming from (just in case: it isn’t) okay that being said…

Why is it that there always seem to be someone out there calling to question the religious status of another without having any indication of what that status might be? Why would you (based on your own words) assume that BHC (very insightful sister – very witty very witty yes she be)doesn’t “know” Jesus? For all you really “know” she might “be” Jesus. Might be like working under cover like for a new book or something. That’s like me stepping into your kitchen and simply saying “Well if you use Clorox on the counters the bathrooms might not fill up so quick after dinner.” It just ain’t right…not right at all I tellya…I can read a lot into your statement and I really don’t want anyone (even you) to assume I am blasting you. That is not my aim. You just prompted a question and I was just wondering.

Now to BHC I must apologize.

I’m SOWWWY!!! I honestly didn’t intend to hijack your blog. But I think its wrong for people to do that. The inference of her post kinda rubbed me.

There are a few things in life that make me smile and think good things. Your blog is a joy to read and I like your writing style. Please forgive me for responding to her words. I won’t do it again (today).
    Peace.
(I’m still looking for that great Millie Jackson cut that would be soooooo appropriate in times like this!)

  • Hi Jeannie, Thank you for witnessing to me. However, I do know Jesus Christ. (surprised huh?) :-)

Do you think boredom is un-Christian? I know that being lazy is a sin…but I never knew that boredom was.

I love how people drop by, leave snarky comments and don’t leave a link or any contact info…sighhhh.

What if I didn’t know Jesus and had questions? You gotta work on your follow-through sis…

  • Jeannie Frazier

If you know Jesus Christ, he will give
you the work and his will to do and you will find that you are less bored, because the days are evil and time is short – Glory God thru Jesus Christ.

  • rawdawg: Hey! I have a million books, but not one of yours. I think I’m gonna have to order one.

Alisha: Hey sis! There’s just something about me and Sundays, this one was especially quiet…of course all of my boredom was gone this morning.

Gray hair will drive a person crazy…I dyed my hair red once and ended up with burgundy highlights. Most of my hair was still black! :-)

  • I wish I were bored. . . I would be glad to share my work with you, sis! Trying to decide on a color to cover this gray in my head too!!

  • if u bored order one of my books
